Jet JDP-17 — - the boring machine, which main feature that it is designed especially for a woodworking. Its design does not exclude metal drilling, but has the improvements important in joiner's and carpenter's business that does the machine rather universal.

First of all, the drilling part differs from usual. So, the course pintles of a spindle is increased to 127 mm, it is more than one and a half times more, than at similar machines of metalwork appointment. Range of transfer numbers of a reducer is expanded to the area of the top values thanks to what the maximum frequency of rotation reaches 2900 rpm that is important both for drilling, and for grinding by special nozzles. Change of ranges is made by reinstallation of poliklinovy belts, and one of them can be weakened or pulled without use of tools for only a few seconds. The tension roller is fixed by a plastic lamb, it is possible to turn off it without having soiled hands that during the work with a tree is important.

Giving pintles on all course is made for one turn of the handle. On its axis there is a limb for counting of depth of drilling and an adjustable stopper limiter.

The desktop is executed from an iron casting that is habitual, but its form and the sizes are adapted not for installation of a machine vice, and directly for fixing of preparations that it is more preferable taking into account that wooden details are, as a rule, much larger than metal. Turn around a horizontal axis is possible on any corner that it allows to drill in face part. The table has the square opening in the center closed by an insert from a chipboard. The basis can also play a desktop role, its surface is milled and has grooves for fastenings.

JDP-17 is equipped with the laser index and LED illumination, as well as many other modern models of Jet machines.
