The dump truck — the cargo self-dumping car, the trailer or the semi-trailer with a body (is more often than bunker type), mechanically (as a rule, hydraulically) inclined for unloading of freight or with compulsory unloading (for example, the screw). Also there are dump trucks to which unloading the inclination of all car by means of telescopic elevators is applied. Dump trucks are used to transportation bulk, either the loose, or other freights suitable for such unloading which is made by means of their capsizing from a body. Dump trucks are classified: 1. As unloading (an inclination or compulsory) 2. In the direction of unloading (sideways, back) 3. As a body (the bunker, a platform, the moving-down bunker, the moving-down platform) Though the loading capacity of the dump truck is less, than at the similar truck with the fixed cargo platform, nevertheless dump trucks are favorable because of reduction of time for unloading.
