Forzition (forsaytiya, Forsythia) - bush from family Olive family (Oleaceae). In sort forzition about 11 types. The majority of types of forzition come from China, Japan and Korea and only one look — the forzition European — occurs from the Balkans. The name is given bush in honor of William Forsythe (William Forsyth, 1737-1804) who was the chief gardener of the Kensingtonsky palace and one of founders of Royal Gardening Community of Great Britain and brought forzition from China to Europe. Today in the European gardens hybrid forms of forzition are most popular (forzition intermediate, average).
