Carrying out diagnostics of cardiovascular system requires not only the corresponding medical equipment - the electrocardiograph, but also qualitative note paper of cardiograms. This expendable material is steadily used already many decades for registration of indications of cordial activity of the patient. Paper for an ECG differs in the high density and convenience in use.
Different devices ECG use the following options of paper: rolled, developing ("accordion") and disk. The main characteristics of paper – its length, width and density (thickness). For example, the average thickness of disk paper – 300 mm, rolled – about 250 mm.
Depending on drawing a tag and availability of perforation emit paper:
- without drawing a chart grid;
- with a tag from a grid or a thermosensitive layer;
- with a tag from a reverse side of a grid or a thermosensitive layer;
- with a tag from two parties;
- with perforation;
- with double perforation.
The printers which are built in devices ECG can carry out the ink and thermal press. The last – record on a thermal paper – is used in the most modern models of cardiographs. The thermal paper consists of several layers, has high quality of the press and protection of the image. In thermal printers are not used blackened, cartridges, a source of color is paper. But it is important to remember that such paper by definition is influenced by differences of temperatures, and it is recommended to store it at the room temperature to 30 degrees. Besides, the thermal paper differs in higher cost in comparison with the analog intended for the ink press.
Correctly to choose paper for the electrocardiograph, it is necessary to study the registration certificate of the device and the characteristic of an expendable material specified by the producer on packaging.
