Maintenance of humidity in greenhouses about the help of systems of moistening plays much important role. In the conditions of compulsory or natural ventilation installation of moistening keeps the necessary temperature and humidity. In summertime immediately evaporating fog will cool at the expense of greenhouse effect - moistening in case of low relative humidity with fall of temperature. During the winter period - the system controls humidity level, preventing dehydration of vegetable cultures which is caused by heating systems. The created microclimate is suitable for the most delicate cultures (young crops, tropical plants and flowers) where it is impossible to use classical methods of spraying of water. Wine cellars during the whole year (or the period) do not reach the required level of humidity and are subject to various problems. Low level of humidity is a major factor which causes natural evaporation of wine that leads to loss of quality and monetary resources.

Wooden barrels also absorb moisture. The optimum level of humidity for winemaking is considered 65-85%.

Normal development of mushrooms except presence of power supplies requires a certain combination of factors of external environment: humidity, temperature, illumination, acidity of the soil and others. Different types of mushrooms have the conditions for growth. For example, for a shiitaka relative humidity of air has to be high at the beginning of fructification (80-95%) and low during collecting mushrooms (50-70%). Systems of fogging support the set humidity level.
