- It is allowed to release plates the sizes less rated on 200 mm with gradation of 25 mm in number of no more than 5% of party.
- Under approval of the manufacturer of the consumer it is allowed to let out plates of the formats which are not established in the present table.
Shortcomings
- Material badly holds nails and screws, especially at repeated twisting.
- Material is ecologically unsafe: binding pitches which are applied by its production emit formaldehyde , harmful to the person. [6] Therefore the important parameter of plates is maximum-permissible concentration of harmful substances on the specific volume determined by sanitary standards. In Russia quite often producers let out low-grade, cheap plate from which release of formaldehyde considerably exceeds maximum concentration limit (to 40 times) and worse, than at class E1 plates (in E1 up to 8 times more of formaldehyde than in recommendations of GOST). Abroad plates of such class do not let out any more, and make only supersafe plates of the class "Super E".
E1 differs in bigger ecological purity, the indicator of emission of formaldehyde at it is much lower. And here E2 is forbidden to be used in production of juvenile furniture.

Application
Are applied to production of case, upholstery and other furniture , construction elements, cars and in production of container.
Plates can be revetted with interline interval , paper , polymeric films, plastic.
Classification
- Design: by quantity of layers of wood particle board it is subdivided on 1-layer, 3-layer and multilayer.
- Brand: depending on durability indicators on bend, deformation, water resistance, exposure to buckling and deformation of DSTP is divided into 2 brands: P-and and P-B.
- Grade: depending on criteria of look-down of plate (cracks, chips, coloring, spots, ledges and deepenings) of plate of DSTP are divided into 1 grade (defects are not acceptable except minimum), the 2nd grade (serious defects of surface are admissible) and without grade (cardinal defects of surface, it is used in construction).
- Skin: boards with fine grained surface (facing by polymeric materials is possible), normal (facing is applied by interline interval) and coarse-grained are allocated (it is used in construction).
- Level of processing of surface: also not sanded wood particle board is allocated polished.
- Formaldehyde emission class: according to contents in 100 g of dry plate of DSTP of free formaldehyde the classes E1 (less than 10 mg), E2 (from 10 to 30 mg) are allocated.
- Water resistance: except that the plate of the P-and brand possesses the best waterproof properties (22% of deformation against 33% at P-B at immersion in water for days), the separate type of the waterproof DSTP intended for production of furniture and specific civil engineering work is allocated.
- Fire resistance: at introduction to structure of DSTP of fire-retarding agents the plate acquires fire-resistant characteristics. Now in the territory of the Russian Federation production of this type of DSTP is not conducted.
- Density: on density of DSTP is divided into plate of small density (less than 550 kg/m ³), average (550 — 750 kg/m ³) and high (more than 750 kg/m ³).

The laminated DSTP

The laminated DSTP (the informal, often used reduction — LDSP) — the wood-shaving plate made on the basis of high-quality DSTP, revetted at elevated pressure and temperature with resistant melamine film and sometimes (at expensive grades LDSTP) covered with the special varnish steady against moisture and mechanical injuries. Lamination provides good look-down, high consumer qualities and increases physicomechanical properties. The laminated DSTP does not demand further finishing and is widely applied to production of furniture.
Extrusion DSTP
Wood particles in such plates are located mainly perpendicular to the plate plane therefore these plates have low durability at bend perpendicular to the plane. Russia production of extrusion plates is practically absent. DSTP of extrusion way of pressing share on tubular, strip, sound-proof and fire-prevention. Plates significantly differ on density, the size, weight and cost. particulars, tubular extrusion plates are used by production of interroom doors as have high sound insulation.
