NEW HYDROHAMMERS OF CAT® OF A SERIES E FOR AVERAGE AND BIG EXCAVATORS DIFFER IN THE INCREASED DURABILITY, SIMPLICITY OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
The Caterpillar company added three new models for excavators of average and big power to a line of hydrohammers of a series E: H140Es, H160Es and H180Es. Hydrohammers of Cat® of a series E differ in a strong design for long service life and high reliability and are equipped with such functions as automatic shutdown, the muffler and the buffer absorbing vibration. All this does the tool easy-to-work. Hydrohammers of a series E are developed taking into account need of carrying out maintenance for field conditions by means of standard manual tools and maintenance of the maximum productivity.
Hydrohammers of Cat are completely projected, developed and made by the Caterpillar company and are the optimum equipment for basic Cat cars. Three new hydrohammers can be applied with Cat excavators from 324E to 374D of L. There are assembly arms for devices for fast change of the hinged equipment Cat. A class of energy consumption of hydrohammers H140Es, H160Es and H18Es - 6000 futo-pounds (8135 J), 8500 futo-pounds (11 525 J) and 12 000 futo-pounds (16 270 J) respectively.
Hydrohammers of a series E are equipped with the case with new symmetric design which allows the case to rotate by 180 degrees to reduce wear, effectively prolonging case service life. On the lower part of the tool the rocky edges protecting the case and allowing to establish quickly boulders in the necessary situation are established. The set of protection against wear delivered to order will increase hammer durability for work under trying conditions.
The new case differs in the increased durability and allows to cut operational costs. Smoothed curved forward part together with a back profile eliminate points of tension and transfer efforts to the lower part of a hydrohammer. Monoblock lateral plates protect points in which there can be cracks. Hydrohammers of a series E replaced series D tools on the basis of which were developed. Automatic switching off which stops a hydrohammer at break through material is among new functions. This system increases reliability and durability of a hammer, eliminating the big internal tension arising at single operation. One more function which equipped each hydrohammer of a series E, - the adjusting valve of external pressure which allows to reduce a maintenance time when adjustment is required. Means of noise reduction which provide environment protection are included in the standard package and increase comfort of the operator.
Parameters of hydrohammers Caterpillar are previously programmed in a control system of the working equipment of Cat excavators. It simplifies their control. The program of management of the working equipment allows to regulate an expense and pressure of oil completely. For planning of preventive maintenance it is possible to register the actual operating time of a hydrohammer.
